how does your garden grow?

After a sleety start, the day became bright and sunny just in time for my lunch hour at work. 

Here you can see a little of the exterior of the cafe and the beautiful railings around the newly renovated park next to it. The railings are by artist blacksmith Elspeth Bennie, who visited the cafe several times during the renovation. I couldn't wait to see what a woman blacksmith looked like. Turned out that she wasn't big and brawny, although I noticed that she had strong hands. I am in awe of her work, I wish I could afford to commission some lovely railings in our garden :-)

The park isn't open to the public yet, but it will be very soon, and then I'll be in there to show you how brilliant it is!
