A brighter drier day as promised, so as promised I got the boys onto bikes with a view to a ride about in West Lothian.
Sadly Tom got his lace stuck in the chain ring just as we hit the cycle path and so - well - he hit the path.
We slowly headed into town to test out the injuries and although there was pain (in the knee, not the neck) it was rated 3/10 so after scoring the Preston train tickets and a bonus McD's breakfast we took the train to Livingston (North).
Armed with a down hill and a tail wind, we set off, meandering through Houston Industrial Estate (see elsewhere for proof of the bounty we discovered) before we hit the canal tow path and the flat run back into town.
Playing on his knee, we took the train from Embra Park to Haymarket and then swept along the Roseburn Path home in decent time.
Showered and changed and the remainder of the day was a mix of sorting out school stuff for the morning and a last go on devices before the classroom beckons.
And a final go too on the Sky pass - a bargain at £20 for the 2 months we had it, but Leicester v Aston Villa will be the last hurrah! £34 a month doesn't make financial sense; besides - the day's are getting longer and we'll be out on bikes much more in the not too distant future.
The procession home along the canal tow path; Ratho ish.
