Good bye, Good Riddance!

I got in most of my larder stocking shopping before the rain made an appearance and turned a windy day into a windy dreich day.

I was delighted to see dismantling of Edinburgh’s controversial Christmas Market. Underbelly’s handling of the whole sorry Christmas extravaganza, the litany of exploding numbers of Airbnbs and extra hotels being built in the city centre, the overcrowding of areas of historic interest and the random closing of city centre streets for filming have finally cracked the good will of ordinary Edinburghers. There is now a Facebook group entitled,
‘RECLAIM OUR CITY- EDINBURGH FIGHTS BACK.
Ordinary residents have had enough. It’s not just my rant, it belongs to many other people who don’t recognise what the City has become, in thrall as it is now, to the God Mammon.
