I heard the ice singing

Little frost on past few days has got lake Saimaa partially frozen. Only wide open water areas are still free of ice. I visited the lakes at sunset and in the opposite side sky got very nice purple tones, which reflected from the crystal clear and solid ice. There are two other images in extra section as a reference.

Now I hope that frosty weather will continue for sometime until snow blanket. That would make strong ice for skating on lakes. First time this year I heard ice keeping that whipping alike sound when it extended. To the joints of ice there has built up some snow in some places, that makes really picturesque details on ice.
