New Zealand native bush...

is all around us here at our Lake Tarawera bach and just yards from our door and past the boat ramp, a pretty bush walk leading to "Granny's Jetty".
Out in the bay a local has moored a home built pontoon that children have endless fun swimming to and jumping and diving from. As I walked along the track a kereru(native pigeon) perched on a branch above me and alongside the path the forest floor self-perpetuates the native flora.
