Red

Today was quite nice so in the afternoon we walked into town. The main picture is the front pair of 5 very red fishing boats that were in the harbour, in the extras you can see the name of one of them "California" and the logo that they all had on them.

We then went into town - the restoration plaque and onto the beach. On the beach I took a number of photos of the sea pool and fort on the Petit Be island.

The final picture is from when we got home and is the sad end to my Canon PowerShot S110, after taking a picture of the Fort National (not included as it was a bit bland, it bleeped at me and refused to retract the lens. I've looked on-line and you there are tricks and tips to dislodge dirty and grit (or sand) from the lens assembly, but most of the fixes are about replacing the lens and sensor assembly (about an hours fiddling) and deeper digging suggests the reason is probably a short of a ribbon cable that moves in and out with the lens barrel and eventually fails...

I think it's time to buy a Canon G7X Mk III, which is at least £100 cheaper in France than the UK, which is something positive to take from today...

Backblips.
