Eyeless Santa

Having shown you cyclops on 22 December I felt I had to show you the (slightly creepy) eyeless Santa which sits on one of the bannister corners.

It reminds me a bit of the statuary adorning the monument to Victor Emanuel II in Rome which look like Ring Wraiths in armour.

Time to lay off the Christmas port? Or overdosing on Dracula?

Apart from that a constructive day and the pleasure of friends visiting in the afternoon.
