New beginnings...

The amaryllis lilies Freddie’s Flowers delivered before Christmas have only just finished, my extra, and have been really beautiful. This plant was given to me by a friend and I have great hopes for it. Let’s see...

A quiet day today. We did some shopping and used petrol discount vouchers to fill up both cars, saving £10 but spending £100. That sounds a l o t! I’ve done some more clearing and putting things back in place.

In a while we’ll drive two cars to Gatwick airport. We’ll bring one car back with Joff, Andréa and Esmée, who will stay with us overnight, and hand over the other to Andréa’s parents to drive back to Cambridge. The family will go in the same direction tomorrow, in their own car. It sounds complicated but there is a reason!

It will be a late night for us all.
