Copper and brass bangle

I found this in the bottom of a box, when I was looking for something else. It is six or seven years since I last saw it. I can't remember where I got it. Is it Indian? Is it Latin American? (It looks a bit like wee Chimu person, with a third eye stone.) I really like it, but am afraid of losing it as I heave off my rucksack. (I lose things easily.) I've gone years without wearing jewlery, (sp.), but I'd quote like to wear things.
