Venus on Hogmanay

You can just see the planet, above and to the right of the crane.  I've ramped up the contrast to make it visible, but that has also breathed some fire into the sky. I've had a funny day. I went to the pub this afternoon, thinking it would be quiet, and it was mobbed. So I sat in a corner with my laptop and ignored everybody. I came back via the Co-op, wearing my woolly hat while carrying my felt hat in my hands. Or not. It turned out I had dropped it somewhere. This induced a sense of panic, until I re-traced my steps and found it. It's strange how you get attached to things. The past few days have been very up and down for me. My New Year resolution is to be more calm, and less stupid.
