New Years Day

A fine start to the new year.   P, A and I had a quiet night and enjoyed a lovely sunny walk down past Scoughall and on to Ravensheugh beach.   Saw a little egret at the mouth of burn, a sight I have never seen in Scotland.

On the way back I photographed these containers in a field in which the turnips had recently been lifted.   They sort of reminded me of high-rise buildings.   An awful lot of turnips left in the ground - seems to be the irregular sizes.   Seems a waste but maybe they will let some sheep lose on this when they are fully lifted.

In the evening went to the Chinese in Haddie.....very busy but an enjoyable meal.
