York…
……………..…Station
A Back Blip, uploaded Tuesday 31st December for 22nd May.
This is my second backblip uploaded today and the last from our visit to York.
Main photo - York railway station. Today we take the train to Derbyshire. We visit for a few days, then on to London before embarking on a bus tour to Paris via the Channel Islands.
Extra blips
1: Clifford’s Tower. The tower stands on top of the castle mound raised by William the Conqueror.
2: Micklegate Bar & Henry VII experience
3: AN old luggage cart from the Railway Museum, Minster from the City Wall and a shopping street
4: Oldest surviving row of houses in York. Built in 1316, a busker and Walmgate Bar. This is the most complete gateway through the City Walls. It now houses a cafe.
