A Reflective Moment

It was one of those infrequent but lovely days when, whilst having breakfast, M and I realised that we had no plans, commitments or tasks lined up and so thought, 'why don't we pop down to the coast'?
So, after a short drive we arrived at the Norfolk Wildlife Trust at Cley and wandered down to the hides.  I don't know where everyone was but we had the whole hide to ourselves.  We saw shovelers, gadwall (see extra), teal, lapwings and quite a flock of Wigeon, (we really enjoyed their whistling song).

As we wandered back to the visitor centre, for a welcome cup of coffee, weak sunshine was beginning to push through the clouds and illuminate the marsh in golden winter light.

We rounded off the morning by visiting P who has an exhibition of his wonderful wildlife photos on display at the centre, and enjoyed a lovely chat and a catch-up with him as well as a sneak preview of some of his latest photos from a recent trip to India.

A perfect morning!
