The Garden in the Bush....

We’ve enjoyed another warm sunny day. Early this evening Keith and I and Maisie the dog drove to visit son Duncan who lives near Havelock in the Marlborough Sounds. Duncan owns a block of land covered with regenerating native shrubs and trees. He is establishing gardens and an orchard in his “Bush Block” and works very hard, making tracks, steps and quaint corners. An idyllic place. We stayed for tea, eating filled bread rolls, Christmas Pudding with custard and cream. Yum. Duncan’s cat Bryan loved us visiting and was pleased to see his friend Maisie.
