Reflections on a good day

A mild and dry day. 20 minute walk with Fletch than off to meet my brother and wife at Twin Locks...
A nice drive over .. some extremely  slow drivers but we still made good time to arrive early for a walk. There wasnt a breath of wind and the canal was like glass.

We only  saw 2 canal boats and the sun was behind them so a quick photo with the phone camera Fletch photo bombed it of course.  ( see extra)

The Anchor Inn was busy.. quite a few people meeting up and exchanging presents , like us.

My sis in law always wraps parcels so beautifully but this year excelled herself. Having decided to go paperless she wrapped them in cloth Japanese style.. Furoshiki. The cloth was specially bought by her and colour matched to the present! Such a lovely idea.. and the cloth can be reused . Extra pic doesnt do them justice but I had to share

We had a very relaxing afternoon. Fletch had to stay in the car for a couple of hours which was a pity as he is very used to joining us in most places for lunch but it wasnt cold and he'd had a good walk so was happy to snooze...and he had another walk before we set off back home.

We had a lovely afternoon. It's always good to meet up with them..
Thank you for the birthday messages and stars yesterday.
