Friday Swimmers

R had brought his wetsuit with him so joined me and Friday morning swimmers in Windermere. His rather thin summer triathlon wetsuit was not the ideal garment for December swimming in Windermere even though I had found him socks, gloves and a hat. He and I swam to the yellow bouy in the picture and back, about 300m then he got out . Can't blame him because the last time he swam in open water was at High Dam in August.  Water temperature today 6.9.  In the picture three last women in the water are approaching having swum about a km.  When we started there was a nice sun rise and it was very calm- extra. I really do need to get a waterproof camera and although it was on my present list Santa seems to have missed it.
