Inaccessible Pinnacle.

A long time ago Rancidand took me up the Inaccessible Pinnacle on Skye. To say that it was a memorable experience would simply not do it justice. Ever since then I have been looking for a picture of the Pinnacle as I experienced it on that day. High up in a clear sky with distant views and a feeling of vulnerability and exposure. I have never found a picture that satisfied me. They are always painted from sea level, brooding dark pictures against morbid skies.

So I decided to commission a painting. When I saw Vandy's use of light I knew she could do it justice.

So here to celebrate three years of Blip, I choose to post a memory of one of my true achievements in life, the day Rancid and I conquered the In Pinn. And think that is one of the most precious things about Blip, the treasured memories.
