Merry Christmas!

Ah, what a lovely day! I got up this morning around 8:30am and was greeted with the delicious smell of lunch in the slow cooker. I opened some cracking gifts (with more still to come) and then Rich and I spent the day mostly cuddled up on the sofa with beer and TV. We took a break from total relaxation for our Christmas dinner, which this year was a Greek affair; beef stifado with Stilton mash. A bit disappointingly, the stifado smelt way more flavourful than it actually was, so we're already thinking about ways to improve it should we make it again. It was still quite nice if a smidge boring, but I'm quite happy to say that we've still managed to get away with making something new every Christmas and not absolutely hating it! (Genuinely not sure what we'd do if we made a Chrimbledinner we disliked... I guess just eat loads of chocolate instead!) After lunch we watched Avenger Endgame (still amazing), and Sarah, Jay and Pam arrived just as the credits started rolling, which was pretty great timing! I had loads more wonderful gifts from them, and now we're settling in for some Song Quiz time!
