I had suggested that we might take advantage of the convenient tide timings to visit Lindisfarne on the way back from https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2415648503410724863]Alnwick to pop to the castle and trundle round the priory, but after I started being sick before we set off in the morning we ended up driving across the causeway and back then straight home. I promised them a replacement castle at some point and eventually got round to going to Craigmillar at an opportune weekend. Despite the cold and the fair walk to get to it from the selected bus they seemed to quite like it, particularly the various wee shelf bits, as long as there were sufficient snacks available.
