45th Parallel Walk

We have driven past the 45th Parallel Track thousands of times and said “we must walk that track one day”. Well, today was the day.
We walked up the 501 steps to the ridge and got this lovely view of Lake Dunstan and Cromwell. Walking along the top and down the other side, we saw wonderful yellow wild flowers and old gold diggings.

Then drove to Cromwell and had a lovely lunch with friends from Dunedin who have a holiday house there.
