Jingle Bells
Merry Christmas! A day of two halves. Morning here and afternoon and evening in Kajang.
Unusually all the adults were up before the children. Wen Fang came over but #2 son decided to stay home so we still have to see him and exchange presents. The present opening got going at just after 8 and lasted over an hour. Disney will have profited, many Frozen related presents. I got nice things and Wen Hui and Gordon seemed pleased with their's. The girls were just overwhelmed with 'stuff'. There was an anonymous package and a mystery jar that turned out to be champagne truffles (melted) that Wen Xin had sent from London.
Then buck's fizz, bagels, smoked salmon and cream cheese. Very fine.
At midday we set off for R and C's in Kacang via B.I.G. in Publika to pick up the cooked turkey and sides and the wine. Ben's was busy, no shop closures here. I bought the wine, an eye watering £58 for 3 bottles. It was a quick journey as being a holiday the roads were quiet and we didn't get lost in the gated community.
Then a 'normal' Christmas day with nibbles and drinks by the pool and a delay for dinner (come eat and 2.30, we sat down after 4) but that's ok. A Belgian neighbour a her 2 kids were there and we ate well but not too much. In between mains and desserts we had a pool break, #1 son, R, the girls and me. The girls pretty much stayed in for the rest of the day, on the floating toys and throwing water at the dogs.
We ended playing 'Cards Against Humanity' drinking red wine. And there was also a video call to the Manor, mum and #3 son and I sent an email, probably ill-advised. And after 10 it was time to go home. We were all pretty tired.
Good day, but one thing would have made it better.
