So last night it started snowing - and this morning it was above zero, and raining :( ah well. Bean was disappointed (so was I).

Then it turned out I'd already done my tax return back in April (I knew I had) and had overpaid on my tax somehow! That made the snow melting a little easier to deal with :D

Lots of lego play today. Bear still enjoying sitting in the lego tubs like they are ball pools. We're trying to build a couple of models that we found instructions for - hunting down the bits is taking a looooong time...

Meltdown involved the Bean: drumming, over excitement, hitting, being told not to drum while the Bear was still sobbing from being hit. Cue sobbing and wailing from the Bean. Then the Bear bit me so he screamed as well when I put the boobs away. Two very tired unexercised boys. Bear was wrapped up on my back for a chill-out, and mum came to the rescue and distracted Bean while I had my own time-out stirring the cooking! Ahhhhhhhhh.

Dinner this evening was bubble and squeak and the Bean tried it and LIKED it! I had to get photo evidence to prove to myself that he'd eaten it... We lit the christmas pudding after dinner. Bean was scared and worried and excited all at the same time! The glace cherries on the top had already been turned to toffee when it was initially cooked in the microwave (oops) so they were just finished off when we set light to the thing ;)

Early bed for the boys. And once they were asleep I even got chance to sneak downstairs and start painting up some big platters for my latest commission!!

Chatted to Steve about the potential trip to Lesotho this evening. He doesn't think the Bean would cope with all the travelling involved in this current trip, but I don't want to go out there without both the boys. I think going as a family is (for us) very important. I suggested he go on this trip by himself - but he doesn't want to go without me! So we'll have to see. There's no way we can afford it right now anyway, and we're still waiting to hear back from the various companies Steve's been talking to.

Still waiting!
