Santie Flys By

Another great day, so calm all day and night.  It was cloudy this morning, but cleared to a sunny afternoon. 

Another morning around the house, and then headed into Lerwick for the last of my Christmas shopping.  Headed down to bro Jonny's in the afternoon, and delivered the family presents.  Madeline got home from hospital today, and popped along on my way home.  Working for a few hours in the pub this evening, and festive cheer in full swing.

I heard the rumbles of a helicopter a out 10.30am from inside, suddenly remembering Santie is here!  Grabbed the camera, and ran outside.  There he was, hanging out the helicopter waving at everyone below, along with his trusty elf.  Every year he flys over Shetland, covering most communities.  This is the first time I've managed to snap a photo.  Taken above my house, Houl Road, Scalloway.
