Why did I come in here?

By Bootneck

Real or imagined

I have photographed this before but the previous occasion was just a basic one off image. This is compiled from 20 images stacked and then tweaked a little.

This is a Hologram of the turbine blades in a jet engine. The blades and surrounding compartments are made to extremely fine tolerances as may be seen here from the hologram. When a jet engine is cooling there is a very fine tinkling sound as the metals contract at differing rates and make pilot type music.

I have no use for this artefact other than to remind me of days long ago and I cannot get rid of it. It's that memory of the tinkling noise in the gloaming of an Aberdeen evening in summer when all is good and after the paperwork it's off to the river to fish and clear the head.

In other news.......
The new car is ready. :-)) I took our new steam cleaner to Fang's abode. The bathroom and kitchen got a deep clean Bootneck style! Fang was very impressed and I quite enjoyed myself doing her a favour.
