Birthday lights

Today is Kathryn's birthday and so we all went to see the Botanic's at Christmas lights exhibit. Even though I'm still feeling pretty rough, I did enjoy it. We spent over two hours there which, considering we had a three year old and a five year old with us, seemed pretty impressive. I took lots of pictures of different parts of the grounds, but I think my favourite was this spectacularly lit tree The favourite comments of the night came from Isobel as she strode off down the path... "It's Santa's workshop, come on, follow me!". Closely followed by, with great excitement, "Oh look, I can see a circus" we all said "Where? " to which she replied, quite happily," Oh no, it's just the Botanic's shop! "
That was about all I did today, I missed church in the morning for the first time in over a year I think, and stayed in bed. We all had a take away Indian meal back at Kathryn's house (her choice for her birthday) and then it was straight home to bed.
