The water levels are up again

A trip to Gainsborough this afternoon to collect the Christmas food order from M&S. A bit of a trek, Lincoln would have been closer but there weren’t any collection slots when I placed the order at the beginning of the month.

We collected from Lincoln last year and it was fast and painless. Today was a shambles. I had only 5 items on the list. 3 were correct, but the 2 pudding items were missing. The substituted items were a piece of beef that would have fed our street and a massive gammon joint. I’ve checked out the cost of the beef.....£90!!!! I eventually got a pudding and searched the shelves for some other suitable desserts.

Note to self.....rethink this next year !!!

The upside of the trip was the chance to check out Torksey Lock for a blip.

R came over after yoga this morning and had lunch. Whilst we were out she took Amber for a walk and meet up with a friend. I think that we are all tired this evening.
