Power cut

We’ve just had a power cut. Apparently something went wrong at a substation and over 6000 homes were affected; this always makes me feel a bit better to hear as I reckon there’s safety in numbers and the electricity provider will hop to it getting repairs done!

Fortunately the power cut was short-lived, only around 50 minutes.

Unfortunately our neighbour’s burglar alarm goes off for 15 minutes if the power’s cut and again for 15 minutes when it comes back on again.

That alarm is loud!
