Sharing

Tonight I went down to our local food bank to help with the Christmas packing. The bags you see here are part of the ‘lift’ for twenty-eight families, who will all collect their food tomorrow. The Christmas distribution has been going on all week and will continue until Christmas Eve, with around thirty families supported each day.

Each family also receives a red bag of goodies contributed by folk from my church. We got a list and had strict instructions to buy everything on it! We were provided with the nice red cloth bags to put the items in, so that was good.

There were only eight of us, working in pairs, and it took us three hours to complete all the bags. I’m home now and absolutely knackered, but I’m imagining the happy faces receiving these bags, shared with love by their neighbours in this community.

It’s good to share :)
