Reflections

We bought a large mirror in the village charity shop some time ago. It was a good buy as it was cheap and I don't think they were able to sell it. We put it in our dining room and that made the room feel much larger. Since we moved we have placed it in our new dining room which doesn't need to feel any larger but instead needs the light.

This photo has been taken through the mirror, back across the dining room into the living room, where it has picked out the Christmas tree, and the reflection of the tree and lights in the living room window.

After work today we went to see a film about greenwashing, called The Green Lie. It's an Austrian film about how big companies can do bad things via subsidiaries or related companies, while they themselves claim to be green or squeaky clean. It very heavily focuses on the Palm Oil industry which is very dirty in many ways. I like the comment by one of the academic who says if you buy Fair Trade coffee or chocolate, does that mean normal coffee or chocolate isn't fair? and if it isn't fair why is it even legal?
