the Star of Kings pub

Went to a North London Reading Group recruitment evening in Kings Cross to convince eager New Years resolutioners to join our reading group. There was a fantastic group of people present, and we joined in the pub's quiz night forming two teams (coming second and fourth). Five or six people signed up for our group, do hopefully they will come along to our next group and enjoy it as much as they enjoyed this evening.

The pub was in a part of Kings Cross that I had never been in and I was pleasantly surprised to find this canal with a number of canal boats, in between office blocks and (I think) flats. I wonder if this explains why there is a lighthouse opposite Kings Cross station? Will definitely be doing more exploring of the area during daytime.
