Almost Over

Dear Diary,

It was with much anticipation that I got up before sunrise to see what had fallen over night.  It was still snowing very lightly.  We got, maybe, 3-4 inches of soft, fluffy white stuff and it was a perfect snowfall.  No ice, no damaging winds, no power outage or internet loss and a lovely winter landscape.  With Christmas only one week from today, it may be that we will have our white Christmas after all and I couldn't be happier.  The best news is there was no leaky roof last night!  I have a call into a roofer to come and inspect the roof to see what can be done to repair it in a more permanent way.  For now, Matt will be over this morning to clean things up and I will continue work on my felted Woodland Elf, my first attempt at a face.  Stay tuned!
