Out and About

An early start for me (Chris) as I needed to get Rosie to Oxford for her second day of induction at M&S at 9am, no lie in today! We continued the household sort out Annie started yesterday and that resulted in trips to the RSPCA for some donations and to the recycling centre for the rest.

This evening we joined the Bedford Car Club Santa Navigation Rally. We had five sets of clues to plot on OS maps before setting on a 50 mile meander criss-crossing Bedfordshire (and bits of Buckinghamshire). It was a first one of these events where we opted to run without a back-up map of the actual route to refer to, we finished 5th overall (out of 9 cars) so we’re pleased with our result as well as having lots of fun doing it.

The car (our Triumph) ran really well, despite the rubbish weather too. a different way to spend a Sunday evening. The three amigos came with us, but as it was pelting it down they stayed warm in the car instead of posing for a picture.
