Lune

A good night's sleep was followed by a hearty breakfast in my Lancaster hotel. After checking out I went for a short walk along the River Lune, just as far as the Lune Aqueduct (pictured).

The Aqueduct carries the Lancaster Canal over the River Lune, although when I visited today the Canal had been drained for renovations.

Yesterday's rain, hail and snow had given way to blue skies and I had a much better drive home than I had on my journey south.
