Where Texas Runs Deep

David took me and our friend Stephanie on a 45 min flight to Mineral Wells, where we went on nice hike in Mineral Wells State Park before going into the town itself. There we had lunch and saw some lovely murals. Apparently they love murals, as there are 17 of them in the town, though we didn’t see them all. This one is called the Kokopelli/Baker Mural. It depicts the famous Baker Hotel, which you can see in the background. The town used to be famous for its Natural Mineral Waters coming up from underground, and the huge hotel is a famous landmark. However it is currently derelict due to the drop in visitors over the years. Much to our delight, we found out it is being renovated.
The title of this blip is the town’s motto.
