Sometimes Less is More

Dear Diary,

I visited my friend Rebecca (of "Auntie Rebecca" fame) to see her Christmas tree.  It was perfectly lovely but I had to photograph her other tree, a minimalistic white birch with a solitary red cardinal.  It was so beautiful in its simplicity.  Yes, sometimes less is definitely more.

We had a 10 minute snow flurry yesterday but it turned to rain and it is pouring rain this morning.  There is some danger of flooding in low lying areas.  I am supposed to go to an event at noon but I will see if I will dare to venture out.  Tonight, is a performance of Dicken's A Christmas Carol but I will see what happens with the weather.  If the temperatures drop it might all turn to ice.  I'll have to wait and see.
