Engrossed

What have we done!
Having woken up and found my fears realised, I do wonder what sort of a world these lovely girls will grow up in. Will there even be an NHS, which employs their mother and which we take for granted.
Today I went to a Christmas party at the day centre of the service of which I am a trustee. I've known some of these adults, some of whom are now in their 40's, for almost 30 years. One young man, who is now 21, I've known since he was 4 years old. I was fond of him then and I still am, and to my joy he still remembers me. It is such a privilege to be part of the lives of such people.
This afternoon Ali and I paid a visit to the friend who will be conducting their wedding next summer, something to look forward to. We've
been friends since before she was ordained and she has known Ali since she was about a year old.
