Lily Alien

This otherworldly creature is actually the centre of a water-lily. I was trying to practice my macro work. There was a honey-bee and a tiny iridescent green beetle pollinating this lily, but try as I might, I couldn't get a clean capture. I'd get the bee's bum, but not its head. Or the eye would be sharp, but half obscured by a stamen.

And after a hundred or so shots, standing ankle deep in mud and finding a leech on my leg I thought "Enough of this!" Or words to that effect... ;)

Nevermind. A project for another day.
