Did my best with my trusty iPhone. Hope a reasonable attempt at ‘ high key presents’ for Carolina, our host. Taken in Westbourne Arcade this afternoon.

We don’t do a festive Xmas really. Last year we abandoned the decorations. Social Media has replaced 95% of the cards. And for years we only gifted to grandparents and grandchildren within our small family.

This year we are VERY HAPPY to have a few quiet days to ourselves. We may spend Xmas day with local Italian friends and their delightful young kids (we will of course give them a prezzie).

We love Xmas in Europe. it lasts about 24 hours. None of this constant barrage of commercialism and hype.

The one good thing about Xmas this and every year, is the John Lewis/Waitrose ad. This year featuring Edgar, the lovable dragon. (overseas blippers can and must see it here>
