Off to Paris in 3 weeks. Time to book somewhere to stay. Um... should have done that a while ago.

Turns out Wales are playing rugby in Paris that weekend. Well, I didn't want a hotel anyway. In Paris you can choose between (1) a standard chain hotel (2) a very expensive hotel, or (3) a small independent with a tiny room. Bit like London.

So, an apartment is what I'm looking for. I don't expect it's what the Welsh boys will be looking for.

It will be strange going back after an absence of 3-4 years. My first visit was September 1972. A course at the Sorbonne for a week, staying in a student cité universitaire out on the south side.

Countless visits after that. Rugby. Business. Social. It was a 2nd home for a while.
