Market times

In December we get flooded by different Christmas fairs (julmarknad). This is the firs I've attended. Capellagården is the name of a design school founded by the Swedish furniture designer and constructor, Carl Malmsten. He founded the school in 1960 and formulated a vision: "A school for creative activities where hand and spirit are united in creative interplay".
Capellagården was, before it became a school, a rather large, traditional Öland farm. Now it functions under Ölands folkhögskola. (folk High shcool).

The market place was in different houses containing Garden items like seeds, oils, spices and so on, Woodcraft, Glassworks and Textile. Nearly all was work by students. The two trees in the yard in front of the main building are "Tulpan träd" (Liriodendron tulipifera).
