Towards Helvellyn

We left Penrith this morning for our journey home.  In spite of wet weather, we decided to drive through the lakes rather than the M6.

It wasn't as bad as it looked and we stopped at a lay-by just south of Keswick for this view towards Helvellyn.  Grasmere for superb breakfast at Mathilde's and the on home through Windermere, Bowness and Newby Bridge.
