Winter

Yes, there was snow when I opened the curtains this morning. I decided immediately that I was going to work from home. Going to work at my daft time is no problem; it's the homecoming I dread on snowy days. I didn't fancy being target practice for the school kids and their snowballs! It's easiest to stay home.

It didn't seem that bad out there at all, peering out of the window at the unusually quiet road. I went outside with my camera at 7am thinking it would be a perfect time to get a snowy blip. I went out in my slippers quite complacent and slid over landing on my arse in the snow by the gate post! No damage done thank goodness. As I landed that way and my camera was hung round my neck, it was the perfect way to fall. Oooo it was cold though! I got up quickly looking round to see if I could see anyone watching. I really hope I don't appear in someone else's blip. How embarrassing! I took a quick couple of pictures and ran back inside to get changed just as the postman walked round the corner.

I'm relieved to say that my little slide was the only mishap of today. The rest of the day passed uneventfully. I didn't even burn anything!
