Murmuring

I seem to have taken a little step back in my recovery today, probably after physio yesterday - my arm and back are aching a lot more, and it took me a while to get going, but when I feel like that I listen to my body and don't rush.  I spoke to my surgeon's secretary Sue about the bruising that's appeared on my forearm, and she called me back after speaking to Ben to say that it's very common after shoulder surgery for the bruising to travel down the arm.  But she said if I'm worried about it, she can arrange for him to see me on Friday morning and to give her a call tomorrow.

I do like to get out every day though while the weather's good, and whilst I'm off work 'sick', they know and encourage me to get out as it's equally good for the recovery, so today's 'therapy' was to go down to the pier at sunset to watch the murmuration of starlings with a few of my Brighton Skies friends.  They didn't disappoint although the show was over rather quick, but it was still a pleasure to see.  The girls had arranged Christmas drinks with some of the others, so I popped along to see everyone, but I didn't stay long and Alan came to pick me up.
