Carnival Coming to Town

Several times a year, a carnival comes to Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas. Dell Diamond is home to the Round Rock Express, the Triple-A team for the Houston Astros; the Express is owned by Nolan Ryan and his family.

If you enjoy these traveling carnivals, never watch them assemble the rides; you'll not get on one again.

These colors really caught my eye. Central Texas is in an "Exceptional Drought," which condition we've been in for nearly 18 months. Today brought the first rainfall in three weeks, and so far, just a bit. We may get anywhere from 1-4 inches in the next four days, which would be welcome. The recent rainfall and overcast made for subdued lighting on this shot, on which I've bumped up the saturation some.
