Lovely Weather for Ducks

We have had another night and day of rain.  The Village is preparing for a flood.  Extra 1:  The lake is at the doorstep of the new Wanaka Water Sports building.  Extra 2:  At our famous tree.  The water is nearly over the track by the tree.  Extra 3:  Sandbagging the local shops.  Extra 4:  Filling the sandbags.  Extra 5:  At the log cabin.  Extra 6:  Only the tip of the jetty is out of the water.  These posts are beside the lake!

The lake will continue to rise as there is more rain in the forecast.  Because it is a bit colder, I have had the fire going all morning.
