Rest day

Down to the valley for a bit of birding tourism. Lunch first however at the Auberge Gonflee, Inflated Inn in translation which seems a bit odd. A half-decent pork stew went down well before we headed off into the garrigue and the cirque de Chauzon to see if we might find a Wallcreeper. Sadly the cliffs were free of creepers although there were a couple of climbers which might explain the absence. A great spot however to sit in the sun and admire the Wallcreeperless view.
A brief and fruitless  visit to the DIY shop in Aubenas before heading back. Just before droopping down into our valley, the view back was stunning with the ridges disappearing into the distance. At various stages today we said that if we hadn't become habitutated to the scenery, we'd be oohing and aahing all day.....
