One Street in Winter

We did get some snow today. There was quite a covering this morning and it continued to snow for a few hours. Then it stopped, the sun came out and a lot of the snow has now gone.

This is not strictly the street - obviously. But the Ghyll, where all the trees are, runs alongside the street and the fields here are behind half of the street - my half. This was taken from our garden at the back of the house. The mother and child live on the street, so in a way this is street photography.

The sledging didn't last very long, as it was very cold, and by then a thaw had set in and it was not very pleasant. When we have real snow, and the children are not at school, this slope becomes a popular sledging run, with most of the village children taking part.
