Vibrant leaves.

As one of our dogs were having a pee on this morning’s walk we both commented simultaneously on just how vibrant the leaves looked in the sunlight. The trees seem to be hanging onto their foliage late this year.

It’s been a day of clearing away and general tidying up, trying to be clear for Christmas, or in our case, Boxing Day, the family will be descending on us, the place will look like a bombs hit it, so my theory is, if it’s clear to start with it may not be too bad. Ha ha.

As it’s stopped raining I’ve managed to get some Allium bulbs planted. The soil was very wet and heavy, but another ‘to do’ job off the list.

Made a start on wrapping Christmas pressies. It’s our club championship show on Saturday and traditionally we exchange presents and cards at the show. It’s good as for me it’s the kick start for Christmas that I need! I’m quite pleased with my offering to John, Carole and Marian. I hope they are too. I’ve knitted them each a scarfette, I’ve even photographed the washing instructions and included them with the scarfs. Got some lovely boxes to present them in too. Extra. I love it when an idea comes together!
