Bike Ride

Took a ride to work on the new bike today to see how long it would take. 30 minutes. Though that was with my girlfriend perched on the back and not really knowing the route.

In Japan, riding with somebody on the back of your bike is actually illegal, but somehow we managed to ride past several police boxes, the ward offices, and a major police station without anyone stopping us.

It's kind of annoying because there's not really any direct routes to work - all of the main roads have overpasses with stairs so that you can't take your bike over them easily, so I have to go around a bunch of side streets. Who knows what you do if you're in a wheelchair.

I'm going to try running home tomorrow and see how that goes.
