Cost about £15
We made another trip to Ikea today. Big mistake.
There were queues to get into the shop (keep in mind this shop is bigger than many villages I've been to).
Inside a neon sign informed us that 230 children had been herded into the play area, and we could see more waiting. It was then that I noticed that the vast majority of Japanese people seem to bring their children to Ikea; those parents that don't put their children in the play area just let them climb all over the furniture and model rooms.
Basically it was like trying to shop in a Hieronymus Bosch painting.
Perhaps Ikea is just a cheap version of an adventure playground in Japan? I mean there are even free shuttle buses back and forth and ice cream for about 50 yen (~35p).
My girlfriend mentioned that walking around the warehouse area was like being in one of the drawfen tunnels from the Lord of the Rings films, so maybe Ikea should open up some sort of Disneyland.
